Computer hardware can be a mechanical, magnetic, electronic component or a physical part including the digital circuitry used to make a computer system. The hardware is not to be changed again and again like data and software. Most of the common people don’t have any basic knowledge about hardware and only personal computer holders, electricians and hardware students have seen the hardware devices.
Mother board, power supply, storage controllers, video display controller, internal storage, sound card and networking are few essential parts of computer hardware.
The Motherboard is the fundamental core of the computer system. All the hardware part of a computer connects to the Motherboard. A mother board is like a piece of earth upon which the house is built. A motherboard dictates the processors the computer will utilize or the number of expansion cards it will hold. The motherboard is for moving information between other pieces of hardware. The latest motherboards are providing more basic services.
The processor is another essential part of the computer that does the calculation. Processors are developing by speed limits where they are not able to get faster while remaining stable and overheated. Dual core processors are adopted by several developers. There is a variety of processors made by different companies as: AMD and Intel. It can be called as the; Brain’ of the computer.
Random Access Memory is like a blank piece of paper that the computer system keeps notes in. Memory is accessed faster than the hard drive. Ram works with two features as: size and Speed. Memory size is expressed in Megabytes or Gigabytes.
A hard drive is the place where computer stores all the data. All the written information Stays there, even when the computer is powered off.
‘’Computer fan’ works to decrease the temperature of the computer and it’s basically attached to the CPU. ‘Power supply’ holds transformer, voltage and a cooling fan and supplies electric power to all parts of the computer.
‘Video display controller’ produces the output for computer display. A printer produces a copy of documents while monitor is a device that displays the video signals. Networking connects the computer with internet and other computers. Thus Hardware is all about the internal parts of the computer that operates the whole functions.
